Default Tranny drain plug?

Hi,
I started to replace rthe drivetrain fluids on my 2001 4cilinder 4wd. The transfercase seems to have no drain plug. The Haynes manual says it should have, but shows no pictures of transfercase of the manual gearbox model car.
Now there is a filler plug, so I tried to suck out the oil like from the differential. The filler hole however, does nos allow a hose to enter.

Does this tranfercase really need new oil (Haynes says so), or is it servised for life? If it it needs oil replacement, how can I get the oil out?

Bert, where in the world are you?

Looking in the Workshop Manual for New Zealand & Australia, RHD 2.0 ltr Zetec YF engine, the oil gets sucked out of the filler bung & takes about 350ml of GL5 SAE 80W-90.

Thanks! I removed a big bold on the side of the housing, I assume is the plug to fill. I was not able to get a hose in to suck the oil out however. Based on your reply, I will try again.

Oh, I am in the Netherlands. Nice to get a reply from the opposite side.
