Towing Question
Hi Guys!
I'm looking to buy a Mazda V6 3.0L. I have a 3300lbs caravan that I rarely need to tow (once a year).Of course, with my caravan packed, it can reach 4000lbs.
Have anyone towed 3500lbs with the Tribute? Is it a pain in the ...??
Thank you!

Whenever towing anything of such a high load weight its recomended to have a trailor break installed which is actuated electronically as an independant breaking system for the trailor to help with stopping power as well as it is activated in the event the tralor is seperated form the vehicle when moving. As far as the tow rating is concerned one would have to factor in a lot of details for its capacity; strength and power of moter and tranny, size of brakes and their condition, and also the load the actual vehicle doing the towing and of course the strength of the actual tow bar installed on the vehicle. Not limited to these items, but is definetly food for thought when wanting to attempt of consider attempting. Of course every thing has a industry accepted standard and the engineers that develop and standardize these sorts of things do it for a living so there may be some leeway but how much more can the car handle is questionable.
Good Luck
