Throttle body and Cruise Control
My cruise control is not working and according to the dealer, I need to replace my throttle body. The connection for the cruiseis worn at the throttle body and the cable pops off. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to repair or will I need to replace the entire throttle body housing.Parts and labor will be close to $500 CDN. 2002 ES 68,000 miles.
Have seen this a couple of time on the Tribute but no repair was attempted as they were both still under factory warranty. The throttle body is very easy to replace by yourself and should be able to get much cheaper at www.onlinemazdaparts.com . Throttle body part number aj03-13-640c comes out to be $119.96 US which looks to be $140.93 Canadian Dollar.
Here is how to replace yourself with a few simple tools.

You are welcome srmacrae.
Glad to hear that you were able to do the work yourself and get the cruise control operating again. Nice work.[sm=happy046.gif]
Sure wish my little 323 had cruise as it would make long road trips more relaxing not having to keep glancing at the speedometer to avoid getting a ticket.[:@]
