Seat swap: 06 Ford Escape to 01 Tribute?
I have an 01 Mazda Tribute ES V6 that I need to sell. The engine has been maintained and runs well, no accidents, everything else is in the typical shape for the age of the vehicle. But the front seats (power, leather) are in rough shape, especially the driver’s seat (of course). The driver’s seat condition alone is liable to scare anyone off, I fear.
I know of an 06 Escape with cloth manual seats that are in excellent condition which I can get for about $85... I assume the bolts are the same as the Tribute, but the wiring harness looks a little different, of course, as they are manual seats with no side airbags.
So the question is, can the Escape seats be made to work in the Tribute without causing issues with the airbag system, seat belt sensors, etc.?
