Default Replacing Interior Door Handles on 2001 Tribute

Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I have a specific question. Does anyone know of a website or post on this forum that tells you step-by-step how to replace the interior door handles. I have ordered new ones and am trying to find instructions on how to replace them. We have a 2001 Tribute.

I don't want to pay a mechanic some astronomical fee and plus the ones up here say they've never done it before.

Any help is greatly appreciated - thank you!

Im quite sure you can replace it without removing the door trim. A little bit fidlly but ok.

Hi, the handles are attached to rods or cables on my repair manual disc.
This is so they can operate, pulling the lock catch for the opening of the door. It looks like the door card/trim has to be pulled away to locate these door handle operating rods. Also don`t forget to undo the screw at the bottom of the door pull on the armrest.(oval shape like an ashtray).
Good Luck.
