Default Replacement Blower Motor GPD

Blower motor finally went out on the 2003 mazda tribute and I purchased the GPD 2311564 as a replacement from rockauto. It was the cheapest blower motor replacement and states balanced from factory. Opening the box it comes with replacement gaskets and a small metal weight (?) on one of the fins for balance I presume.

Install and fit were acceptable with the gaskets working as they should (no air leaks), but assembly seems off balance at the highest blower setting. If I start the blower motor at the second to highest fan speed setting and leave it there for a few seconds first and then switch to the highest fan speed, it seems to stay balanced around half of the time.

Would not recommend, maybe spend more cash on another unit. Anyone have a good experience with a different brand blower motor?

We never in the shop sell and install and I would never sell a blower motor that had an external balance weight attached. Considering it is a vital part of any HVAC system it’s better to buy from a brand name manufacturer instead of the bargain units.
