Default door sensor malfunction

I have a 2006 Tribute and the door ajar light stays on. I have narrowed it down to the front passenger side door. I think it could be a sensor, but im not sure where the door ajar sensor even is in the door. If anyone has encountered this problem and has any tips, it would be much appreciated

since my sensor appears to be acting up, any suggestions on cleaning it? Would spraying a foaming degreaser into the assy help? Anything i should NOT use?

Thanks

I advise using a spray contact cleaner like MG Chemicals Nu-Trol. It is not injurious to any insulating plastics, is a very effective anti-oxidant, and leaves an effective after film which keeps the contacts in good shape but does not accumulate dust. It or its equivalent is available from electrical/electronic specialty stores.
