Default 2005 V6 Tribute Oil

Is it possible to use a 10-40 oil Castrol Magnatec in this engine ?
There seems to be a lower limit of 10-30 in the manual supplied with the car.

I know it is a Ford Engine - has Cleveland on the side.

Thanks

It depends on,

A- where are you in the world?
B- How many Km's has the engine done?
C- Does the engine rattle or smoke?

110K +

NO - Usual Start Up Clatter Then runs OK

My concern is that I read somewhere that too thick an oil can cause issues in a modern Ford Engine

At the Mazda dealership where I work we use 5w40.

Either 10w30 or 10w40 will be ok for a Tribute.
