Default 2005 Tribute REAR LIFTGATE window problem

My 2005 Mazda tribute REAR LIFTGATE window will not lock. It closes fine and the alarm sounds when it opens but it does not lock shut. Any ideas?

Since nobody else has chimed in I will take a shot in the dark at it..
It sounds like you have a bad lock actuator...That is my best guess..
Hope this helps you..
BTW welcome to the forum.
There are some sharp folks here that can help if the actuator is not the problem.

You will almost surely have to pull the back panel...The problem might be a bad connection at the actuator...Let us know what you find.
