Hi all!

Quick question: Recently purchased a 2004 Mazda Tribute DX 2.0 5speed and noticed it makes a knocking/pinging noise when it's cold. As soon as the engine is up to temperature, this sound decreases substantially. I've boiled it down to being "piston slap", but I was wondering if anyone else has ideas to offer. It is currently about 30 degrees or so when I am starting my car and noticing this noise. '
