2002 Tribute radio problem
We have a 2002 Tribute and love it!...Been virtually trouble free all these
years. But...a year or so ago the LCD panel in the radio went funky--sometimes the display works..other times not..if you press on it..it may be
back..but then again it might not. Suspect it might be a cold solder joint.
Anyone had this problem and know of a fix...can the LCD panel be replaced and if not..a source for a used radio (AM/FM with 6 disc CD changer) Thanks for your help. LongLake Pat Long Lake MN

Our 2002 has the same problem. I have priced out used radios on ebay and they cost almost as new ones from car audio shops on-line. I would look into a new after-market one instead of an 8 year old for that kind of money. How long do you suppose the LCD on the used one starts misbehaving?

Same problem...
Radio works, but, the display showing only dashes...we can't see the radio station we're on, or the clock, etc.
Tried pushing on it..but, that didn't work....
Where do we go from here?
Been taking a portable radio with us. We find the station we want on the portable, and then search for it on the Mazda radio., lol.
Better than nothing, but a pain in the butt.
No one here, is handy with tools AT ALL, unfortunately.

2002 Tribute. Just Purchased. HELP Radio Display??
Hello again...
New to the forum...
Haven't figured out how to start a new thread...so...here goes...
Just purchased a 2002 Tribute. The radio works., but, this is the
display we're getting. All we're seeing are dashes....
See pix below...We don't know what to think. Where do we go from here? Been pushing everything, lol. Tried codes too, but, since the radio works?, correct me if I'm wrong...don't need codes????
Would greatly appreciate any help we can get.
