Default 2002 Tribute LX FWD clink/clunk over bumps

Just got this Tribute with 113K from the in-laws, just did alternator, injectors, plugs (which the prior mechanic did 3 of 6 and charged them full), all pvc lines and pvc .
The problem is due to alternator and idling issues, I never drove it before I worked on it, it was trailed to my house. So now that its running smoothly, I hear a clunk almost feel thru the steering
wheel when I go over bumps. Otherwise on the highway it drives and holds the road great and has new tires. When I did the alternator, I used the pull from the top, not take apart the axle on the passenger side approach.
So, I really didn't mess with the suspension other than take off the passenger wheel and wheel well liner. It doesn't sound like a plastic smacking metal, it feels and sounds like a wobbly bar. I'm going to see what the front sway bar bushings
look like, but other than that....struts? what would transmit at low speeds right into the steering wheel?

Default Strut mounts

It might be strut mounts mine has the same problem. I’ve always just looked past it and assumed it was the strut mounts, and just haven’t gotten around to replacing them.

Luckily I got away with swaybar bushings and end links and the noise is gone...I'll keep the strut mounts in mind for next round...
