Default 2001 tribute
Someone please tell me where to purchase a egr valve position sensor ! We have looked everywhere. we have replaced our egr valve three times and then was told by advanced auto that we need an egr valve position sensor.

what engine does the trib have?

keep in mind it could be....
a bad egr vacuum solenoid
no vacuum supply
bad DPFE sensor(sort of like the a postion sensor) quite common

all of these are sold by the dealer

We have a 3.0 engine in the tribute. someone told us that the ford escape and the mercury mariner are basically the same car, true?

WE REPLACED THE SENSOR, TUBING AND THE EGR VALVE AND IT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 20 MILES AND BLEW THE EGR VALVE OUT AGAIN. WHAT IS GOING ON????
