Default 2001 cylinder 1 coil malfunction

Hello, has anyone ever found a solution for this problem? I have read the forum and I didnt see a solution. My Tribute runs fine for about 15 - 20 minutes. Then it starts to miss. code P0351, I moved the coil from cylinder 1, to one of the front plugs, still the same problem, on cylinder one. I also changed the spark plugs since I had it apart.

After it sits for awhile, I reset the code, and it runs fine again for 15-20 minutes. Its driving me nuts!

Suspect water in the plug well or head gasket issue. Get the problem going, then yank #1 plug ASAP and see if it's wet. Pull another plug or two as well and compare condition and color. After you've done that, post your findings.

Default Update

Ok, I was taking the crankshaft position sensor out to check the resistance, and it snapped in half. It broke pretty easy, so it might have been broken before I tried to remove it. Anyway, I got one at Pep Boys ($29.99), Advance auto wanted $45.00. I installed it and went for a test drive for about an hour, no problems, no check engine light. I will update if anything changes.

All was fine, then driving down the road it started running rough, light came on. code p0351. rough running lasted only 20 seconds, once it started, I pushed the pedal down and it cleared up. reset the code, no problem since.
