hello. my 2005 tribute is very noisy any time its going down the road. mechanic says it needs a new driveshaft, because the rear cv joint is bad and actually pressed into the driveshaft. this one has about 70,000 miles anyone else been thru this?

 

I had the driveshaft replaced in my 08. There was a constant humm while driving. Didn't take them long to diagnose and repair. Have not had an issue since. I had between 85000 and 95000 km's on it. I was still under warranty - thankfully.
