Where can I get a new computer to put in my car? Also where is the computer located in the 04 Mazda Tribute 6 cylinder? My old one is reading the same codes after the codes have been fixed. I needed to replace all my O2 sensors and EVAP. Reset the check engine light and it comes right back on. Found that one of the O2 sensors was stripped down and the wire blew which we think fried the computer so it is still giving the same codes as before.

 

Don't know if you still need any help, but I sent my computer to Circuit Board Medics. They do more than just the common coil driver problems that a lot of on-line rebuilders do. If you still need help, email them and describe your exact symptoms and ask if the can help. They are generally very quick to respond to emails. They might just sell you one of their rebuilt units if your issue is something weird. I think some of these computers get water damage from imperfect case sealing, particularly since the computer is mounted in the wiper well to be air cooled.

If you get a new computer from them, they will program it for your car. Just plug and play, no dealer needed to reprogram.
