My wife's 3l Tribute is bringing up a P0118 error code and the system is saying it's running close to boiling (92 deg celc), but the temp gauge is showing as normal so I think it is a faulty sensor reporting to the computer. Does this sound right?

Where is the sensor located on one of these?

 

It is located on black plastic therm housing tee, the piece that is bolted to the engine block. It is a white plastic sensor.
