Every time I start my 2002 Mazda Tribute, I hear a beeping sound that lasts for like 3 minutes and goes away. I've checked the fluids and all seems to be well. Not only that, there isn't a warning light indicator either. And, I always wear my seat belt, so I'm not sure what's causing this.

 

What kind of beep is it? Fast beep, slow beep, pattern of beeps?

 

I just bought a used 02 Mazda tribute, and it beeps 5 consecutive times with a pause for a few seconds and then beeps another 5 times, and does that process 5 times total. So basically 5 sets of 5 -1 second beeps. Any clue?

I also had this same problem as well for a while... But it stopped beeping a few months ago and I haven't heard it since. I have no idea what it was, but would be nice to know the issue!

 

Why is my 2002 mazda tribute making a slow beeping nose when I start it up then going down the road it dose it again

 

I acquired my tribute after losing my car due to weather. Anyway I ran to the store and when I was leaving, jt made a loud beep that lasted a second or two and it did it for awhile, there was no lights or cel light or anything So I texted my brother(his dad owned the car before I got it) and he said it was previously in an accident with airbag deployment but the airbag light was burned out so I didn't know... So it could be a possibility
