Default Rolex GrandAm Homestead:

Check out the www.rx8club.com SE Region forums for information about the upcoming Rolex Grand Am Race at Homestead Speedway, March 29, 2008. RX-8 owners have an opportunity to participate in the Parking Corral for RX-8's and have access to the Paddock area. Sylvain Tremblay owner of the SpeedSource Team that won the Daytona 24 hourGT class has also extended an invitation to visit his paddock area with a personal tour. You must contact Jamie Mitchell, Marketing Rep for Homestead Speedway to confirm and then I have to submit those that want to visit with the SpeedSource Team for special credentials required. Jamie's telephone (305)230-5255 , e-mail: wwwjmitchell@homesteadmiamispeedway. comCutoff day is March 14, 2008.
Lets get together a have a blast watching the SpeedSource Team hopefully continuing to beat the Porsches and Pontiacs et all.
Best regards,

That is what the Rx-8 is all about. It is a perfect example that states that the rotary engine is quite reliable and quick. When maintained properly you will get results just like that. I think the reason why people do not respect the Rx-8 is because it is not that quick on the straights. But wow does it handle! I have heard many people say they prefer the way a Rx-8 handles over a porsche, bmw or mercedes. I can not wait to see the Furai Concept race car run! that bad boy is something special!

I can't wait for the Homestead race and hope they win big there. Syvain extended an invitation to us to have a tour of his paddock area. Jamie Mitchell of Homestead Raceway will ensure we have the paddock pass's to enter the SpeedSource paddock. I keep watching the Daytona Race that I have onmy Dish DVR.

i caught this on "you tube" along with a couple of others showing the Furai in motion. i wonder if any of it will make it into a production consumer car, it says 450 hp on ethanol, that's interesting, i thought Mazda was leaning toward hydrogen fuel. my current 07 RX8 has been one of my most fun autos since a racing Renault i had back in the 70's... my 389 heavy duty Bonneville with 2 four barrel carbs. that i got my first ever speeding ticket in was fun too. so many loves so little time ....
