Exclamation Battery Acid Rust

hi

, so I got a 2011 S2 recently with quite low mileage, around 30k, the rotary is running completely fine, everything's good about the car. However, I happen to find some rust caused by battery acid leaks, I think the battery was relocated by one of the previous owners which might have caused the issue. Is this rust minor? Minor as in sanding it off and using primer/paint to cover afterwards or should I be concerned? Any sort of information is highly appreciated!

Clean it, treat it, paint it, move on.

Unhappy

I was concerned that after sanding it and painting it again, will it affect the chassis rigidity even slightly due to sanding? or should I just forget about it, I have a tendency to obsess over stuff like these and eventually get tensed
