im pretty sure what i did was A LOT safer then your method of finding the ground but yes you think it could be your marker lights it could blow the fuse for your dash lights and everything of that nature and it could really be in your marker lights like mine was so i just went around un plugging the stuff that is connected to that switch until it stopped blowing out fuses

That way would work very well but is just much more time consuming and did not think you would be interested in trying that approach. The method suggested was just a means to cut the problem in half so to speak. Was completely safe as the only thing that could happen would be to blow the 15A fuse. Nothing else would be harmed.
So you unplugged stuff untill the fuse stopped blowing. At what point of unplugging did the fuse stop blowing? You have probably just found the problem if disconnecting a single component caused fuse to stop blowing. Leave the part disconneted and start plugging things back in again. If fuse blows again when something else is reconnected then problem there as well.

And yes, the marker lights could cause dash lights out as well. All of the power/voltage to marker lights, interior lights, dash lights, etc, go thru the 15A ILLUM fuse, then to the headlight switch and then splits and goes to all of those things. One fuse blows, all loose powerr/voltage.

also you said you checked the rear tails, by checked do you mean looking at them? or using a test light? rig up a cheap little test light with some wiring, an LED and some resisters appropriate to the bulb limit and make sure you're even getting power to the tails and where on the car you ARE or AREn't getting power. Diagnose it piece by piece.

exactly the problem causing my fuse to blow was that i only had one front marker light bucket so i took the other one out well the one that was already missing decided it was going to ground out on the inner front fender wells of the lil beast at which point caused the 15a fuse to go pop pop lol so i taped them off and made sure everything was AOK again also check your storage bin lights to make sure that they are not grounding out on anything the only bad thing about the rx7's is that they are the most tempermentle lil carse i have ever seen

have you replaced the "roasted" wire? and fused it correctly? then you shouldn't have a problem with it in the future. glad to hear you fixed the problem.
