I have a mazda Rx7 2nd gen, 1986 non turbo</P>


i am going through sparkplugs like there is no tommorw, she is burning rich, hard to start, carbonizing plugs and it looks like the its olny burning on the bottom cylanders. she olny has power 1/4 of the way through the peddle. I put on new oxygen senser and changed the top igition coil with little effect. also she is idling at about 500 rpm. i have been through everything on the car and i cant find anything wrong. if anyone has any ideas, please Email</P>

Sorry to hear all the problems with your car. Don't know much about RX-7 tho. Any moderators have any ideas whats going on with his car?

 

why dont u just go 2 a mechanic if ur not sure wot is wrong i would

 

need to know more info. Is the car hard to start when cold or warmed up? What brand of plugs are you using? How much oil are you using? How many miles are on the engine? First thing is to replace the plugs with NGK. Check to see how much oil the oil injection is putting into your engine. Depending on your answers you may (without knowing anything else, so do not worry) be looking at a rebuild. If you live anywhere close to Indianapolis Indiana I would suggest going to IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park) on the weekend of April 22-24 2005 for there is going to be a RX7 event. I do not know if I am allowed to tell you any more for it may come across as advertisment. Look around on the web and you should be able to find out about it. I have been there the last two years and there are engine rebuilders present as well as a lot of people to ask questions.
