Hi everyone,

new to the forum. I'm looking to buy an '87 Turbo II w/93K miles but am not familiar with the RX7. Been a longtime Audi and VW enthusiast and was looking to give rotary engines a try. The car appears to be very clean, but what should I be looking for/ask with this particular year and model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Basically with buying any used car, you would want to have it checked by a mechanic who specializes in Mazda's so they would know something about the rotary engine. I would go to www.howthingswork.com and look up rotary engines and see how they work. One member said in a different post to get a compression test, the rotary engine has lower compression. I would just do your research since it is your first time buying a rotary car.
