Which brings us back to here:

I was exhausted 😴 but i did good.

Good shine, smooth.

I absolutely love these wings

I also ended up repainting the 2JZ value cover for the "final stage" white comet. I am referring to the right hand drive infini as the "final stage" white comet because the rotary engines dead and no longer made and this is how it would stay in the battle. 😆

Time to assemble!

I first got started bringing out all the boxes of new parts i had been gathering. Almost everything on this car will be new. It's exciting and tedious but slowly its coming together!

The trinity 🙌

Getting it untapped and putting on new parts!

Every single bolt, nut, screw, seal, gssket and plastic is new on this car 💙

Smoked 👌

Attention to detail means every clip.

I love bi color turn signals and jdm flash to pass lights!

White/black/silver

Pity to cover it all

Reclaimed auto

The "final stage" white comet is also coming together really well. I am some plumbing and a few wires from firing it up and the body and interior are coming along nicely!

Update time!!!

Ok where to start, ummmmm well I love this car:

This was on my 40th birthday. The weather was nice that day, roads clear and while its still hard to stomach the burnt hills it was a nice drive. 👌

I got a bit distracted building the 2003 miata with Liam and Becky. They wanted to get it buttoned up and so I ended up finishing that project up. This was my first time working on a mazda that was not an rx7. Im not really a miata guy, it's like a little fd. While I thought the fd was cool I really love my fc's.

Liam was stoked, we might make a build thread about its process.

It got a full detail and is practically new. We ordered some Corbeau forza seats for it, cloth black.

Here was his motors first start (minus a 02 sensor making the exhaust loud af)

We bought some MS01R Mazdaspeed 15 inch rims, wrapped them in Advans. Full factory kit and some oem bezels for the lights. Found some OEM mica splash green and got most everything resprayed and looking good. 👌

New projection lights and bezels with a freshly painted to match lip!

New megan Racing exhaust, strut bars and rear bezels freshly painted. Now back to the 2jz rhd infini, gtus and 10ae over there 😆

The 2jz rhd project got a bit of attention as well. My last rhd build required a usdm harness modified to make it work flipped. So lots of intermediate harnesses. This car has everything but it fried in the crash. So nothing at all worked. Nothing to ignition, then to dash or lights, no ignition or fuel system. It was all messed up.

Someone installed a viper security system, a auto start and keyless entry, but removed it. Oh and they ripped out the stand alone and datalogit so it was a wiring nightmare... but I did it. I got every wire redone, new relays and stated getting bulbs in. Everything works perfect. It's oem and minty fresh! Oh yeah the 2jz jzx r154 shifter fit perfectly!

Now to the update on the GTUS. The car is almost finished even though it is still flying in the air. I have to finished the brakes, But that is just putting on the calipers. The interior has been a little more of a struggle than. I was expecting because of a new carpet requiring so much modification and not fitting very well. I kind of knew that I was going to be facing these problems after watching rob dahm try to install the same company's carpet in his fd.

I also should point out i deleted the ac but kept the box. I converted it into a grade 10 hepa filter for the cabin.

So as the car sits it just needs me to but all of the new parts like the throttle cable and plumbing before i install the drive train!

I started putting the motor together and that was very successful.

Lapped plates with reinforced coolant passages, like new fd housings and all new seals and **** 😁

Here is a little time lapse of the build:

Got it all buttoned up

All new hardware looks so good

Needs block off plates and the fuel rails but i had to take a break...

So had to go into surgery... turns out my wrist was shot and needed repaired. Good life of work, a left hand well used got all better!

So... woke with a brain splitting migraine but im good. 8 weeks i can get back to it. 6 months ill be 20 again they say! To be continued...

Meanwhile I get to take this time teaching Liam how to drive the miata we finished up! Here is his first time driving a stick and going it alone 👏

the miata driving past him was epic timing 😎

So 8 weeks came and left and I got my stitches out!

It went well, might have some permanent tingles

Healed great though!

A week after the stitches were removed it was like it never happened, all three holes are not even noticeable. I highly recommend this if your wrists go bad.

Now 6 months of healing, so naturally i decided to get back to the GTUs!

It took me a few to remember where i left off...

I gathered everything up, threw on a new clutch and started getting ready to put the motor in!

Unfortunately I had to pause again, I needed more space. It was time to build the shop. I figured I could do it one handed and by myself 😆 so I started at making three new bays for the GTUs, RHD Infini rocketbunny and the 10th Anniversary Edition. I got a ladder, a Milwaukee drill and saw and a level and measuring tape and started getting it all together!

So I knocked down the old walls and built a second floor for storage. Then laid gravel, poured a foundation, set the walls, roof and house wrapped it.

Now i have plenty of space to finish the GTUs! Looks good on the ground with all the suspension and brakes done. Time to get the new Works rims, Apexi dual N1 exhaust and the wiring finished up. Ill be running a lot of things and would like redundant relays for things.

I also built this shop for it. Wired it with new panel boxes with all new wires from the transistor. Now i can run a few lifts, phase 3 compressors and all the heaters and lights i want! I got a full HVAC system for the shops as well!

Now this spot caused problems because it made the family start talking about what to fill it with 😁

Oh yeah, I got lifts!

So we all started talking about what cars we might want to fill that spot, liam and becky suggested that I get another classic 60s car. I hesitated on that idea and jokingly suggested maybe they should. Liam jumped on that opportunity after I implied I would be down to help him with a restoration. Well sh*t, he jumped on it and went and found a 66 pontiac super project and bought it 😆

As stoked as he was on this project it wasnt going in the shop. So we all started talking about what we all might want and again ended back up on newer classics.

Ok a little back story on why we started talking classics. We all have corner cars. We have the holy Trinity of fc's and the limited edition rx7 is soooo stock and mint its a trailer queen we drive on perfect days and nights.

And we went up and down the peaks in the miata all summer long. He got bored of driving it 😆

We thought about another turbo car like a Nissan or Toyota but the 7s cover all that. So we needed a muscle car, a modern one.
