Default Help with electrical issue

Hey guys, got a 1988 rx7. Headlights come on but not the taillights. Brakelights are working. Checked the underdash fuses and they were fine. Bulbs are new and the connections look good at the lights. Is this maybe a "headlight" switch issue since it also controls turning on the taillights. I'm obviously not a mechanic but it seems logical that a soldered connection came loose or a contact got worn out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
