I bought a 1981 rx 7 for $200 . Has just a little over 50,000 miles on it and has been in storage for 9 years. Ran before storage but not now. The tank read empty (not sure if the guage works) So all I did was charge the battery, put in a can of fuel drier and 3 gallons of gas. I t wouldnt start, but would start and continue to run as long as I fed it fresh fuel through the carb.If I drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh and change the fuel filter, should that be enough to get it going after all these years? I know it was well taken care of mechanically. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Not real keen on rotarys and do not want to ruin anything. Thanks, Travis

 

um, you may want to check the fuel lines..just to make sure they're not rusted out.
and possibly the fuel pump...

and it wouldnt hurt to check the brake lines too!!
