Hello everyone, I am new here because I thought you could answer a question for me. I have a '02 Protege5 with 240,000 miles, I purchased the car with only 18,000 miles in 2004, and her transmission is in need of replacing. I asked a local trans shop on what it would cost to get the tranny rebuilt and his answer was in excess of 2 thousand. So I was wondering if a JDM auto tran from ebay would work on my car? Also it seems that while doing research Mazda used different transmissions for the '02 and '03 years. My manufacture date for my car is 04/2001. Thanks for viewing my question
