Hi, I recently bought a mazda familia station wagon, 2002 model from japan (called the protege in N. America). it started failing to transition through gears it will go into 2nd but then will go into 'safe mode'. Any ideas? One mechanic told me that there is a factory fault on this model and quoted 2800USD to fix......
