Default TIMING BELT QUESTION

ok so i just got my new 2002 protege 5 and i was wondering about the timing belt. What mileage do i change it at and wat would happen if it broke on me? would i be in some serious trouble or wat????

i am not sure just how deep your troubles would be if the belt was to break.......however its recommended replacement is every 100,000km.

also check out what the guys had to say when i posted the same topic about 2-3 months ago (search timing belt) hope this helps.

Replace every105 000 Mi -by Manual for Mazda protege
