Sticks at 1000rpm
I have a 2000 Protege SE (1.6litre, manual)
The thing has been incredibly reliable. It's my first car, learned to drive stick on it.
It's really not that fast at all, but god damn the thing can go through anything, ditches, grinding the gears, hitting a curb at 40/kph. Canadian winters. Going from 110kph to 0 on a doing a full skidding stop no problem.
But lately some days when I give it gas, even if it's in neutral the tachometer will always lag really bad at 1000rpm. Makes hills really annoying and driving in general hard. Some days it's perfectly fine, others it's just frustrating.
