Default Setting timing after timing belt installation on 2002 Mazda Protege 5

We have installed the timing belt, with the help of my friend, now car has rough idlinmg, now I have heard that we can set the timing by jumping a wire in the dignostics box located on the right of engine compartment. Can Some one tell me how to do that.

the timing needs to be set manually. the ignition timing is based off of the cam positioning sensor, so it will set when the timing gets set manually. basically, you need to get the #1 piston at top dead center (line up the 0 with the notch on the timing cover) and set the cams at the 0 position. the ignition timing will then set to the cam positioning sensor.
