Default Sea Foam

What's the deal with Sea Foam ? It looks like you can use it in Gas Tank, Intake, etc...Any comments or stories welcomed. Thanks.

I realize this is an old thread , but anyways....

I was introduced to this stuff by one of my buddies that works at autozone. I got a ticket for my inspection being expired and to make it worse, now we have to get emision tests done. Well they won't even hook up your vehicle if the CEL is on. On my 99 ford ranger the CEL was on. I had had the same code before when I had to replace my O2 sensors ("lean mixture"I think). Anyways I had a court date the next day and didn't have time to change spark plugs or O2 sensors or anything. So I bought a can of sea foam and poured half into the gas tank, and put the other half in a spray bottle and sprayed right into the throttle body. Drove it back to advaced and had them reset the CEL. Next day it passed the emissions test and the CEL stayed off for about a year (until just before my next inspection). I did it again with the same results. I think you can also add it to your oil, but I'm not sure.

Well hope this helps some.
