Safest drop?
My girl has a 02 protege. She wants me to drop it but doesnt want to spen the 800$ on coilovers **** i dont blame her. But i also see a problem if you drop these cars too much they dont make camber kits. I hate the stupid alignment bolts that have. So im figuring springs is the best but which size can i get without having my alignment effected. 1.0,1.3,1.5,1.9? If i cant drop this car im selling it. Mazda is retarded lol no offense

I have an mx3 dropped 3+ with minimal camber. if you rotate the tires a little more often you wontvhave the tread wear issue

For the street, assuming this is your one and only DD, and that your roads are in average shape, I would go somewhere between stock and 1.5". Any more and you'll begin to have other problems such as blowing struts regularly, and a very bad ride. That gets old after a while, and hard on your back. Mine is set down about 1.25- 1.3" and you can see from my sig pic how it looks. That pic was taken the day after the springs/struts were installed. It settled down just a bit more since. |
