So I got tired of dealing with the headache of my Pro5 charging system so I installed 2 GM 250amp alts to run my stereo and put the factory alt back in to run the actual car. I had to remove the power steering pump to make room for the new alts and suprisingly enough it is not too bad steering the car. And there is no power loss due to more drag, I believe the power steering pump put more strain on the engine than the alts do.
