I have a mazda protege 2000, about 50K miles down. I'm facing a problem for the last few days: the automatic shift lever gets stuck at P when i try to move my car in the morning, <IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">it takes a while of prodding, pushing the brakes on and off for it to shift to D or R. can someone tell what the problem may be? Thanks in advance

 

Have u check your ATF level? Gearshifts ok? ATF replaced recently? Just happen in the morning? I suspect gear lever bush... Or the torque converter problem.
