Default Protege 2.0L Engine Swap

Ok, got the newengine ready, almost, for the swap out. Having never done a 4cyl front wheel drive engine swap, can anyone give me some pointers or information that will help with the process? Things to look for and expect? Special tools required? How long should it take, etc?
Any input appreciated.
Also, anyone interested in old engine?

Its a 2.0L coming out of a 2002 Protege. 125K miles. Was will maintainedBUT either has blown head gasket or cracked/warped head. Has been overheated several times according to the guage. Not sure if damage to lower end due to leaking coolant into crankcase. No evidence of this, no milky substance in crankcase or visible on dipstick.
Bubbles into the coolant reseviour.
Go back and search this forum for my original post "Help with Protege overheating" back a month or so. This has more history. gregmsr

Anybody done this swap? Should I plan to remove transaxle with engine for ease of removal/installation? Any pointers on installing new timing belt/water pump? Should the clutch be ok in replacement engine with 58K? Any input appreciated.

Someone told me that you have to turn the car upside down and shake it real hard, and the engine will come right out. Is this true?[8D]

Try this link

Check section 1-10. It seems that Mazda wants you to remove the Engine and Transaxle together, which seems logical.
If that shaking it upside down doesn't work, you could always call Brother Maynard and get the Holy Hand grenade of Antioch. Oh wait, that's for Killer Bunnies.

Ok, can the engine and trans come out the top, or does it have to come out the bottom?

If you look at Pages 22-23 of section 1-10, it appears that it will come out the top.
