Default P0420 Code :(

As I was driving home today in below freezing temperature, I had to hard brake due to the car in front of me as I did that, my check engine light came on. Everything drives fine does this mean I have to jack my car up again?

check that you dont have any exhaust leaks. check that the front and rear o2 sensors are not loose. connect and disconnect both o2 sensors connectors to make sure they are making good contact. my wife car had that code some time ago and it was corrected when i replaced the spark plugs cables. the curious thing was that i never got a code for misfires.

Fixed! The o2 sensor connection just had to be disconnected and reconnected. Thanks Jaunky!
