Default New life for an old '92 Protege DX

Hi all,

I am looking at replacing the engine in my 1992 Mazda Protege DX, due to numerous oil leaks. I would like to get something a little bit stronger than what is currently installed and possibly a 6-speed manual transmission (currently has a 5 speed). the VIN starts with JM1BG224, any assistance is greatly appreciated.
