New Brakes.
Alright so I'm going to need new brakes and I think I'll just get the rotors turned out? Call me an idiot but im new to this area and I've been looking into them and all I'm seeing is "front brakes". Here comes the idiot part
. Can you just use front brakes on the rear universally or do you need rear for rear and front for front because I've seen one rear set? And what brakes would whomevers replying reccomend if you happen to have any experience with them. Not looking for the ultimate racing grade brakes just above average ones, no squeeking and good stopping distances. Thanks in advance.

1. the front and rear brakes are different sizes, so the pads would be different sizes also.
2. i use wagner pads that are ceramic. they last for a long time and i don't have problems with brake dust nearly as bad as i did with regular pads. they also don't stay as hot as other pads.
3. if you are over 80k miles, i recommend turning rotors. it isn't that expensive and it makes a difference in the longevity of brake pads.

Well yeah this is the first time since owning the car to change pads and it was a one owner, non tuner, car owner so I'm rightfully assuming they arent anything special right now. I don't really need "top notch" but I'd like something better than the average.
if just a small boost is what you are looking for, the ceramic pads are the way to go. if you are looking for a big upgrade, the BBK from rotora is a big but good investment. you could also go the route of drilled and slotted rotors, in the stock size. they aren't that expensive, but you kind of get what you pay for here. all that they do for performance is cool down faster, but they look kind of cool. there are a lot of options with brakes. here is a site that has quite a few of them. i know the guy that runs the site and he is really knowledgable and ships quick.

From my experience it is cheaper to buy new rotors ($20 -$25) then it is to have the old rotors turned ($25 - $35). Once you take the wheel and remove the brake caliber, the rotors practically fall off anyway.
