Default Need Help........please!!!

My 2002 mazda protege 5 wagon (2.0liter) overheated this weekend. The coolant resovoir was melted So i went 2 the dealer and purchased that and a new thermostat. I have replaced the resovoir and changed the fluids already but it still overheats quickly...... i believe and the dealer believes it could be the thermostat. Can N E one tell me how to replace the stat...(i.e. where is it, what tools needed, etc....)
Thanks

Follow the lower radiator hose to where it goes into the engine. The stat is right there. 3/8 socket set is all you need. Two bolts to remove, remove housing, install stat (in proper direction, same as old stat). Can't remember but I don't think any gasket is needed. Good luck.

Put a new stat in my 2002 Protege 2.0L, no help. Still heating.
