Default Mazda ptotege5 remote doors

Hi
I have a 2002 mazda protege5 I installed a reomte starter with out the doors just to start the car and a jvc stereo (just spliced the wires in) now the doors will not open with the remote and now when you leave the headlights on there is no alarm.

When i hooked up the stereo there was one wire left a lime green with black strip could these wire have anything to do with it

Thank you
Bruce

Lime green with a black stripe is usually the negative side of the solid green wire for a speaker. Dunno about the remote issue though.......

Is the lime green on the radio or in the car harness?

Take a look here 2002 Mazda Protege Auto Alarm Wiring Diagram It has that wire listed as part of the alarm system, maybe this is related?

Give it a shot, I dont think its a 5v wire so 12v should be ok, it might also need to be grounded instead of powered, try grounding it out first since that will have less chance of frying something, worst case is you pop a fuse.
