Default Mazda protege 2003 radiator cooling fans

I have a mazda protege 2003 and it is having an issue where it overheats because the left radiator cooling fan is not moving whatsoever. the one in front of the engine is still turning so i want to change the other one but i am not sure what i need i just want to know if there is a difference between the two fans and what i should be looking for if i want to change the fans.

Did you get this figured out yet? larger fan, drivers side is for the main cooling, smaller passenger side is for when ac is on. Cooling fan has a relay in fuse area, but if you can unplug fan and check for continuity with ohm meter it will tell you if fan motor is bad. Best go to junkyard, and buy fan, usually about $10.
