Mazda premacy 2001 issues and code reading

Mazda premacy 2001 issues and code reading
Hi all. Have a Mazda 2001 1.8 premacy same Engine as the 323 /Protege etc. ..
Would anyone know how to read the engine codes on these? Has the 17 pin Mazda obd plug in engine bay.
Also a couple other things. Have cleaned EGR ..throttle body ..new plugs...coils...air Intake hose...injectors O2 sensor no vacuum leaks etc
But when cold and air cons on engine bucks at idle and sound like it's missing sort of thing. Once warm it seems to be fine. .
Also is chewing through fuel like it's not funni as smells like I'm gassing myself lol hence why want to check codes etc
