engine stalling
Hello
I have mazda protege 1998 . Here is what is happening.
When engine is idle or when I stop at the red light engine stalls or it goes dead. But I can start the engine. I have replaced fuel filter. But still the same. I have tried to replace fuel pump .But could not remove the rear seat.
How do I remove rear seat?
Any Ideas folks what could it be causing the problem?

Uhhh, you have the budget to throw parts at a problem without knowing what the problem is, but you don't have the money to have a quick (and relatively inexpensive) scan done on your car?

Like I said, this is the kind of problem that is difficult to diagnose over the internet. Why? Because there are maybe a dozen different things that could cause your symptoms. Trust me, get your car scanned, you'll save yourself money by doing so. The fact is that you've already messed with the fuel filter and you're fixing to replace the fuel pump (I rather doubt that's the problem); how many more parts can you afford to buy and how much more time can you afford to spend replacing perfectly good parts in the vain hope of getting luck and hitting the proper part?
Sorry if you don't like the answer, but most other folks around here will tell you the same thing.
