Default Electrical issues

Alright so I recently bought an old 1992 Mazda protege dx and everything was working fine. But about a month or so back I started having issues with my battery charging system. I changed the alternator, got a new battery, and replaced the main fuse because it went out. But my car still has its battery draining. The guy that had it before me tried to install a radio and cut a bunch of wires and just taped them with electrical tape, I don’t know if that could be the reason why the battery is draining. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

It sure seems like it. I'm replying even though I'm no expert as getting replies for these old rides can be difficult. I have 93 DX. Don't you hate those seat belts? My suggestion would be to pull the radio and isolate all the wires and see what happens. I'm wondering if there is a power wire that is always on and one that is only on when the car is running. Maybe he inadvertently grounded an always on 12VDC wire?
