Driver's Side Window...HELP!!
Nobody can seem to tell me what the crap is wrong with my window, so I fugured I should turn to you guys for some help....
While driving dow the road the other day, my husband rolled down the window to let some hot air out of our car. As he went to roll the window back up, he couldn't. He figured the window had come off the track, so he covered the window with plastic until he could look at it.
Upon further inspection, we realized that the window had NOT come off the track, but rather was just being a stubborn Mazda and refusing to roll up.
Here's the weird part...We know it has to have something to do with the power window/lock system, because when you attemp to roll up the window, all you hear is a constant clicking sound, an no results. Also, when you try to lock or unlock the doors from the driver's side, it doesn't happen. You here the "click" like they're locked, but the doors' locks never go down.
I love my Protege. Bessie is a 1999 LX with almost 140k on her, and she's never really given me any major problems. Any advice on what this may be and how to fix it would be great. Thanks a lot!
