is it possible to install a double din radio?

I've been checking out places like crutchfield and they state that only single dins fit, yet the radio in my sister's car is a double din factory unit.

Was this a rare offering or what? is it true double din or some weird custom fit by the factory that aftermarket double din doesnt fit?

 

with som hardware hacking i belive that you could get the double dim installed. You will have to remove the middle bar that separates the two compatments but it should fit. At least thats what it seems like.

 

go to bestbuy.com and check the fitment there. there is no divider if you indeed are talking about a p5. there are plenty of direct fitment double din stereos for the p5 since it uses a ford style stereo.
