I have an '03 MazdaSpeed and I want to put in a new stereo system. However, I can't find a diagram anywhere of how to take apart the console. Can anyone help me out here?

You do not necessarily have to take the console apart to remove the radio. There are special shaped tools that should be available at most car stereo shops to easily remove the radio. See first two diagrams below. All you need to remove is that black plastic trim ring around the outside of radio unit.
If you still want to remove the console give a post back and will give a description of how to do it in 5 minutes.
