Hello Everyone.

My check engine light was on and when I had it checked they said I needed to replace the wires. Did that but forgot to connect one of the coils before starting the engine. Car started but ran real rough. The check engine light started to blink on and off. I fixed the problem by connecting the 2nd coil and car runs real smooth. The problem is that the check engine light continues to blink. Any way of resetting this without having to take it in again and pay a fee.

 

sure diconect your ground wire in ur battery and hold the brake in for 5-7 seconds, let of, hook ground cable back up crank your car and problem should be solved

 

chances are that the coil mishap caused the engine light to go off. you can clear the computer by disconnecting the negative termonal on your batterie for a few min. if the check engine light comes back something else caused it. but thats unlikely if the engine is running fine.

 

ya bud if the battery thing dont work which it should ^^ if u wanna just drop by Autozone or something similar just ask them to wipe ur OBDII codes they will do it free... takes all of a min

 

AutoZone stopped ready codes for free about three months ago because of some lawsuit filed by a string of mechanic shops.
