Default Can I assume

Listened to my daughters 2001 Mazda Protégé as she pulled into the driveway this evening. Sounded like a low bellowing noise as she let off the gas and put in park...Never quite heard a sound like this coming from an engine,,,,So I lifted the hood and the sound was coming from under the valve cover when I revved up the engine by hand while running and then let go...A low bellow sound came as the rpms went back to idle. So I removed the oil cap and gush of air is escaping...Pretty strong. So assuming I have a plugged PCV valve. Does anyone disagree ? Or any other ideas out there on what it could be ?

Thanks in advance

PCV valves are dirt cheap, just change it and see if it fixes the problem.

By the way this is one of the quietest forums I have ever been a member of.
People post and no one answers.

Check out my post for an extra vacuum hose, to date 94 for people have looked at it and I have not gotten a single response not even a welcome to the board.....

Cheers to you, I hope you get your PCV problem solved soon.
Check back in and tell us what happens.
